ENGINE OPTIONS
I set out to create a vehicle that is reliable, tough, easy to work on, fast and can drive on most terrains. Usually you can't have everything. I wanted the newest and easiest technology to work with and create an immortal vehicle. I felt like Mustangs, GTOs, Cameros, Chevelles, Challangers, Chargers, and GTXs were meant to be restored as show cars. I wanted a car I wouldn't feel bad about modifying into a mad max vehicle. This is what I learned.

FUEL SYSTEM - EFI
The Holley Sniper won my decision making process for many reasons. It is incredibly simple to set up. It's pretty self contained and works with HEI distributors which can have erratic signals. It can also expand to have new features like timing control by upgrading to a Holley Distributor with Magnetic pick up and plug directly into the system.
Holley's fuel pump is not loud compared to other pumps and its internal fuel regulator makes a really simple and clean engine bay.
What I learned about fuel lines is to get AN fittings. This are compression fittings that seal mechanically meaning you don't need to seal threads with thread locker, pipe dope, teflon tape ect. NPT fittings do needs to be sealed and you can only use fuel sealant. Teflon tap can break off and clock your fuel lines. Often times these sealants need to dry over night and must be sealed from air exposure to cure.
