I created the visual graphics following the UX guidelines. The scope of the project was to allow the system administrator to look at critical alerts on multiple arrays in a single view.
I designed this dashboard with a grey and white background so that bold colors would attract the user to the critical information. I choose the same orange as the company colors. In this case, it shows the partitions on an array that belong to one virtual pool.
The cluster view is designed with a the same color scheme. Using grey for the least important information and black for the most important information.
NEXT GEN: VIRTUAL COMPUTER USING DOCKER CONTAINERS
O-Box was a great visual tool for data management. However we already realized the potential of what we could develop next. The next level was going to be more then adding CRUD tools for virtual pool data storage management. The next level would be to give users the ability to make virtual environments.
Leveraging docker containers, we can give consumers the ability buy various machine environments with different configurations. We have the ability to give users the option of creating a virtual data center or render farm.
We can even give the user the ability to make 1 virtual PC and tune the configuration to be the most up to date PC. We can increase its performance, memory and storage as needed with dockers. We can even separate the storage from the OS
